NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, February 9th (All times eastern)

San Antonio Spurs (33-16) at Orlando Magic (25-25), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs resume their eight-game road trip this evening when they pay a visit to the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena.

The Spurs are 2-2 so far on the swing and posted a 110-83 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday at the Verizon Center. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan each scored 20 points to lead the Spurs, who are 17-8 away from the AT&T Center this season.

Parker added six assists and five boards, while Duncan had seven rebounds and five assists as San Antonio put the brakes on a two-game skid. Manu Ginobili had 18 points in the winning effort.

San Antonio will also visit Miami, New Jersey and Detroit on the trek, and sit seven games behind Dallas in the Southwest standings.

Meanwhile, the struggling Magic will try and stop a three-game losing streak when they head home to host San Antonio.

In Wednesday's 113-103 loss to Toronto at the Air Canada Center, Dwight Howard posted 32 points and nine rebounds for Orlando, which has lost 11 of its last 14 contests and is four games off the lead in the Southeast Division.

Keith Bogans added 15 points and rookie J.J. Redick scored 14 in the loss.

Orlando is back at Amway Arena where it owns a 16-10 mark this season.

Friday's showdown between San Antonio and Orlando is the first of two meetings this season. Both squads split a pair of meetings last season, while the Spurs have won eight of 10 and nine of the last 12 meetings.

San Antonio has won five of six and six of its last eight at Orlando.
