Atlanta Hawks (17-28) at New Jersey Nets (22-25), 12 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets try to halt a two-game losing streak when they host the Atlanta Hawks this afternoon at Continental Airlines Arena.

On Friday, Hedo Turkoglu dropped in 22 points and Dwight Howard finished with 19 points and nine rebounds as the Orlando Magic crushed the Nets, 119-86, at Amway Arena.

Vince Carter had 25 points on 8-of-18 from the field for New Jersey, which has dropped five of its last seven games overall. Eddie House contributed 12 points and Mikki Moore netted 11 in defeat.

New Jersey is 13-11 at home this season. After today's contest, the Nets embark on a three-game road trip. They will visit Philadelphia, Atlanta and Boston on the upcoming swing.

The Hawks try to get back on the winning track today. Chris Bosh posted 24 points and 10 rebounds, as the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors downed Atlanta, 103-91, at Philips Arena.

Joe Johnson scored 28 points in the loss to Toronto for the Hawks, who wrapped up a four-game homestand with a 2-2 record. Josh Smith posted 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Marvin Williams, Josh Childress and Zaza Pachulia all had 11 points in defeat.

Atlanta is 8-15 on the road this season. The Hawks return home to host the Lakers on Monday and the Nets on Wednesday.

This is the first meeting of the campaign between the clubs.

Atlanta has lost nine straight after winning its last two at New Jersey. The Nets have won two in a row and six of the last seven contests in the series.
