(Sports Network) - A battle of Southeast Division foes takes place tonight as the Orlando Magic host the Miami Heat at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Orlando, which is one game behind Washington and two games ahead of the Heat in the division, has lost four in a row and will open a four-game homestand this evening.
On Friday the Magic suffered a 112-111 loss to the Wizards at the Verizon Center. Hedo Turkoglu, Dwight Howard and Keyon Dooling each netted 20 points for Orlando. Howard also grabbed 12 boards, while Trevor Ariza contributed 18 points off the bench.
The Magic are 10-6 at home this season and will also welcome the Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte Bobcats and Boston Celtics to town.
Meanwhile, the defending-champion Heat have dropped two in a row, including Friday night's 91-81 loss to the New Jersey Nets at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Dorell Wright posted a career-high 21 points, seven rebounds, six blocks and four steals and Jason Williams netted 17 points for the Heat. Alonzo Mourning finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in the loss, while All-Star guard Dwyane Wade, who sprained his right wrist against Chicago on Wednesday, missed the game. He is questionable for tonight's contest in Orlando.
Miami is 5-8 on the road this season.
The Magic defeated the Heat on November 24 this season by a 107-104 score in South Beach. Orlando has won two in a row, but Miami is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings.
The Heat have won 13 of the last 20 overall meetings and five of their last six trips to TD Waterhouse Centre.
