Los Angeles Lakers (18-10) at Orlando Magic (17-12), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Lakers resume their road trip this evening when they take on the Orlando Magic at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Los Angeles is 2-2 so far on its six-game road trip and 5-6 away from the Staples Center this season. On Christmas Day, the Lakers suffered a 101-85 loss to the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Kobe Bryant was held to 16 points for the Lakers, who had a two-game winning streak broken. It was his lowest point total since his second game of the season when he had 15 points on November 5 at Seattle.
Ronny Turiaf recorded 13 points and seven rebounds, while Luke Walton scored 10 for Los Angeles, which shot 39.2 percent from the field. The Lakers will close out the trip on Friday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Orlando, which leads the Southeast Division, has dropped two straight and five of its last seven games, including Saturday's 86-83 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.
Dwight Howard had 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Magic, while Grant Hill had 15 points in a losing cause. Orlando will play five of its next six game at TD Waterhouse Centre and is 10-5 as the host this season.
Los Angeles went 2-0 against Orlando last season and has won three straight, six of seven, 13 of 15 and 14 of the last 17 matchups.
The Lakers have won two of three, six of eight and seven of their last 11 trips to TD Waterhouse Centre.
