Indiana Pacers (23-20) at Detroit Pistons (24-17), 6:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons will try and get back on the winning track when they host the division-rival Indiana Pacers this evening at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Detroit had its three-game winning streak come to an end with Friday's 99-96 setback at home to the Washington Wizards.
Richard Hamilton netted 27 points and Chauncey Billups chipped in 17 points and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who are 11-9 as the host this season and tied with Cleveland and Chicago atop the Central standings. Antonio McDyess had 15 points and snatched six boards in a losing cause.
Meanwhile, the Pacers have won a season high three straight games and closed out a four-game homestand with a 3-1 mark. Indiana notched a 102-84 win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse, as Jermaine O'Neal posted 21 points, a career-high seven assists and six rebounds in the victory.
Danny Granger scored 18 points for the Pacers, while Marquis Daniels added 13 points and Darrell Armstrong 12 points. Indiana will now hit the road to try and improve on its 10-13 road mark this season.
The Pacers are two games off the lead in the Central standings.
Sunday's game between Indiana and Detroit is the third of four meetings this season. The Pacers won the first two encounters of 2006-07 and have won four of the last seven meetings.
Indiana has won five of eight and six of its last 10 at The Palace.
