New Jersey Nets (20-22) at Los Angeles Clippers (20-21), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets play the third of a five-game road trip when they visit the streaking Los Angeles Clippers tonight at the Staples Center.
This is the first of two meetings between the squads this season. The Nets will host the Clippers on March 18th at Continental Airlines Arena.
New Jersey has lost two straight and three of its last four at the Clippers.
The Nets are 0-2 on the swing. Monta Ellis drained a long jump shot as time expired, as the Golden State Warriors edged New Jersey, 110-109, at ORACLE Arena.
Jason Kidd had 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Nets, who have lost two in a row. Vince Carter added 23 points and a career-high 13 assists in defeat.
New Jersey is 7-12 on the road this season. The Nets will visit the Denver Nuggets on Saturday at the Pepsi Center and the Utah Jazz on Monday at EnergySolutions Arena.
The Clippers go for their fourth straight victory, as they play the fourth of a five-game homestand. Elton Brand scored 25 points and pulled down seven rebounds, as the Clippers ran away for a 115-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday at the Staples Center.
Cuttino Mobley added 22 points for Los Angeles, which has won five of its last seven games overall. Mobley and Brand both went 10-of-15 from the floor in the victory.
LA is a solid 15-7 as the host this season. The Clippers will host Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday in the finale of the current homestand.
