New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets (16-24) at Toronto Raptors (20-22), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors continue a five-game homestand this evening when they welcome the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets to the Air Canada Centre.
Toronto, which is only a half game behind New Jersey for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, is 2-1 on the stand and posted a 105-84 win versus Charlotte on Monday night.
Chris Bosh netted 20 points and Jose Calderon notched 19 points and 11 assists for the Raptors, who have won three of their last four games. Andrea Bargnani scored 14 points, while Morris Peterson added 11. Rasho Nesterovic contributed 10 points, as Toronto improved to 12-7 at home this season.
Raptors point guard T.J. Ford sat out with a sore right ankle, which got stepped on December 29th against Chicago, and he is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Hornets.
Toronto will close out the stand on Friday versus Boston.
The Hornets finish a two-game road trip. On Tuesday, Kyle Korver scored a game-high 25 points and Andre Miller contributed 17 points and dished out 11 assists as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated New Orleans/Oklahoma City, 102-96, at the Wachovia Center.
Devin Brown paced the Hornets with 24 points, while David West had a double- double with 23 points and 11 rebounds in a losing cause. Desmond Mason scored 17 points for New Orleans/Oklahoma City, which has lost two of its last three games overall.
New Orleans/Oklahoma City continues to play without star guard Chris Paul (sprained right ankle) and forward Peja Stojakovic (lower back). Paul, who was injured on December 26th, leads the team in scoring (18.4 ppg) and assists (9.0 apg). Stojakovic is averaging 17.8 points per game and last played on November 24th.
The Hornets are 6-14 on the road this season.
The Raptors posted a 94-77 road win over New Orleans/Oklahoma City on November 28 this season, but the Hornets have won two of the last three matchups.
The Hornets have won four of their last six at the Air Canada Centre.
