(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat play the second of a four-game road trip when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at the Staples Center.

Miami started its road trip with an emotional victory. James Posey drilled the game-winning three-pointer while falling out of bounds as time expired to lift the defending world champion Heat over the Memphis Grizzlies, 98-97, on Saturday at FedExForum.

The Heat are 4-3 on the road this season. They will visit Sacramento on Thursday and Denver on Friday in the finale of the current swing.

Los Angeles plays the finale of a four-game homestand. It is 2-1 on the stand. On Sunday, Elton Brand poured in 31 points as the Clippers cooled off the Orlando Magic with a 116-91 thrashing at the Staples Center.

Tim Thomas scored 20 points, going 5-of-7 from three-point range for the Clippers, who have won two of their last three contests after losing five straight.

Corey Maggette had 17 points and veteran Sam Cassell netted 13 for LA, which set season-highs in field-goal percentage (60.3), points in a half (66) and points in a game in the win over Toronto.

The Clippers are 8-2 as the host this season. After tonight's game, they will visit San Antonio on Friday and Memphis on Saturday.

Miami has lost two straight and four of its last five at the Clippers. The Heat have won four of the last six contests in this series.

This is the first of two meetings this season between the clubs. The Heat are scheduled to host the Clippers on January 3, 2007 at AmericanAirlines Arena.
