Detroit Pistons (11-5) at Charlotte Bobcats (4-12), 6 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons will shoot for their ninth consecutive win this evening when they take a trip to Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Detroit, which hasn't lost since a 100-99 setback to the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on November 15, made it eight in a row with Friday's 108-100 win over the New York Knicks at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Tayshaun Prince equaled a career-high with 31 points and Richard Hamilton added 26 for the Pistons, who won their fifth straight at home. Chauncey Billups scored 22 points and had a season-high 16 assists, while Rasheed Wallace added 15 rebounds in the win.
After a sluggish 3-5 start to their 2006-07 campaign, the Pistons have moved to the top of the Central Division standings -- just 1 1/2 games ahead of the idle Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Pistons will now hit the road where they are 5-3 this season.
Meanwhile, the Bobcats have dropped two straight and four of their last five games, including Friday's 121-109 loss to Washington at the Verizon Center.
Adam Morrison led Charlotte with 23 points on 10-of-18 from the field and Brevin Knight scored 22 with nine assists for the Bobcats. Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor, who grabbed 13 rebounds, each contributed 12 points against the Wizards.
Charlotte will play host over the next four games versus Detroit, San Antonio, Houston and Phoenix. The Bobcats are 2-5 at home this season.
Detroit defeated Charlotte, 104-95, on November 24 this season at The Palace after going 4-0 last season.
The Pistons have won two in a row at Charlotte and lead the overall series 6-2.
