Golden State Warriors (17-16) at Memphis Grizzlies (7-25), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Memphis Grizzlies open a five-game homestand when they take on the Golden State Warriors this evening at FedExForum.
Memphis has lost six of its last seven games, including Sunday's 111-109 loss against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center. Mike Miller had 32 points for the Grizzlies, while Pau Gasol finished with 21 points and six boards. Chucky Atkins posted 14 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
The Grizzlies, who have dropped 12 of their last 14 games, are the worst team in the NBA and own a 5-9 mark as the host this season.
Meanwhile, Golden State has won three of its last four games and defeated the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, 97-89, on Tuesday at the Ford Center.
Baron Davis and Matt Barnes each poured in 29 points to lead Golden State, while Davis finished 10-of-25 from the floor and 8-of-13 from the line. Barnes ended 9-of-20 shooting and pulled down 11 boards in the win.
Mickael Pietrus contributed 13 points and Mike Dunleavy chipped in 10 points off the bench for the Warriors, who are 4-11 on the road this season and 6 1/2 games off the lead in the Pacific Division.
Wednesday's game between Golden State and Memphis is the first of the 2006-07 season. Memphis has won four in a row and seven of the last eight meetings.
The Warriors have dropped four straight and six of their last seven trips to Memphis.
