Golden State (16-16) at New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets (12-18), 8PM
(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors resume their three-game road trip tonight when they take on the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at the Ford Center.
Golden State had a brief two-game winning streak halted in the opener of the trip on Saturday at Sacramento, which posted a 119-96 victory at ARCO Arena. Matt Barnes and Keith McLeod both scored 17 points for the Warriors, who have split their last four games.
Ike Diogu had a season-high 16 points and Mike Dunleavy added 13 points and eight rebounds for Golden State, which is 3-11 on the road this season and 6 1/2 games off the lead in the Pacific Division.
Meanwhile, the Hornets will open a four-game homestand but have lost four of five and 15 of their last 19 games. On Saturday the Hornets dropped a 94-80 decision to the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center.
Marc Jackson poured in 22 points and grabbed eight boards for the Hornets, who have lost eight of their last 10. Desmond Mason netted 17 points, Rasual Butler had 12 and Devin Brown recorded a double-doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds for New Orleans/Oklahoma City.
The Hornets will try to improve on their 7-6 home record this season.
Golden State is 2-1 against the Hornets this season and has won two straight meetings. New Orleans/Oklahoma City, though, has won four of seven and five of the last nine meetings.
The Warriors have lost 11 in a row and 12 of their last 13 games at the Hornets. They are 3-17 all-time as the visitor against the Hornets.
