NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, February 15th (All times eastern)

Seattle SuperSonics (20-32) at Minnesota Timberwolves (22-29), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The slumping Minnesota Timberwolves try to halt a four-game losing streak when they host the Seattle SuperSonics tonight at the Target Center.

This is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. The teams split the previous two contests as each squad picked up a victory on its homecourt.

The home team has won 14 of the last 20 meetings in this series. Seattle has won three of its last five at Minnesota.

Seattle is scheduled to host the Timberwolves on March 10th in the fourth and final meeting of the season between the clubs.

Minnesota plays the finale of a five-game homestand, as it has dropped the first four contests of the stand. On Monday, Mike James finished with 27 points, including the deciding basket with eight seconds remaining, as the Toronto Raptors fought past the Timberwolves, 98-94, at the Target Center.

All-Star Kevin Garnett ended with 23 points and 19 rebounds in the loss to the Raptors for Minnesota, which has lost seven of its last eight games overall. Trenton Hassell and Ricky Davis poured in 14 points apiece in defeat.

The Timberwolves are 14-12 as the host this season. They have dropped six of their last seven games at the Target Center.

Seattle plays the second of a six-game road trip. On Tuesday, Michael Redd poured in 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field, as the Milwaukee Bucks dominated the SuperSonics, 106-91, at the Bradley Center.

Rashard Lewis scored a game-high 25 points in the loss to Milwaukee for the SuperSonics, who have lost two straight and six of their last seven games overall. Ray Allen put in 19 points against his former team, but it wasn't enough as Seattle committed 22 turnovers.

Prior to Tuesday's game, Seattle announced it acquired forward Chris Wilcox from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

The SuperSonics are 8-17 on the road this season.

This is the final game for both clubs before the All-Star break.
