Phoenix Suns (26-15) at Miami Heat (25-17), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat go for their third straight victory when they welcome the Phoenix Suns tonight to AmericanAirlines Arena.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On January 6th, Raja Bell scored 24 points to lead a group of seven Phoenix players in double figures, as the Suns trounced the Heat, 111-93, at U.S. Airways Center.
Phoenix has won two of three and three of the last five meetings in this series. The Suns have dropped four in a row at Miami.
Miami plays the finale of a four-game homestand. On Tuesday, Dwyane Wade scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half to help Miami pull away for a 94-82 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Shaquille O'Neal finished with 20 points and a game-high 15 rebounds, while point guard Jason Williams netted 14 in the win over Memphis for the Heat, who have won six of their last eight games overall.
The Heat are 14-5 as the host this season. They have won five of their last six at home. After tonight's game, Miami hits the road for a pair of games against the Charlotte Bobcats and the Houston Rockets.
Phoenix has dropped two straight games and plays the second of a season-long six game road trip. On Tuesday, Hedo Turkoglu poured in a season-high 30 points and Dwight Howard recorded 22 points and 12 rebounds, as the Orlando Magic defeated the Suns, 111-102, at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Shawn Marion led Phoenix with 26 points and 16 rebounds in the loss to the Magic, while reigning MVP Steve Nash also posted a double-double with 22 points and 12 assists in defeat. Leandro Barbosa tallied 15 points and Bell netted 10 for the Suns, who have lost three of their last five games overall.
The Suns are 10-8 as the visitor this season. They have lost four of their last five on the road. Phoenix will also visit Atlanta, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Boston on the current swing.
