Seattle SuperSonics (5-6) at Los Angeles Lakers (4-6), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Lakers play the fourth contest of a five- game homestand tonight, as they welcome the Seattle SuperSonics to the Staples Center.
LA has dropped the first two contests of the stand. On Sunday, Chris Duhon scored 21 points and handed out eight assists to lead the Chicago Bulls over the Lakers, 96-93, at the Staples Center. The Lakers lost to the Clippers, 97-91, on November 18th in the first game of the homestand.
Kobe Bryant netted a season-high 43 points in the loss to Chicago for the Lakers, who have lost five of their last six games overall. Chris Mihm was the only other Laker in double figures with 13 points, while Lamar Odom pulled down 10 rebounds defeat.
The Lakers, who will closeout their homestand on Sunday against the New Jersey Nets, are 2-3 as the host this season. After hosting the Nets, the Lakers will hit the road for a pair of games against the San Antonio Spurs and the Utah Jazz.
Seattle will try and bounce back from a tough loss. On Tuesday, Mehmet Okur scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Jazz stopped the SuperSonics' three-game winning streak with a 93-87 victory at KeyArena.
Rashard Lewis netted 26 points in the loss to Utah for the Sonics, while fellow All-Star Ray Allen had 23 for Seattle, which shot just 38 percent from the field.
The SuperSonics are 2-4 on the road this season. After tonight's game, Seattle returns to KeyArena for a five-game homestand. The Sonics are scheduled to host New Orleans/Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Cleveland, Indiana and New York on the upcoming stand.
The road team has won four of the last five meetings in this series, while the home team has been victorious in nine of 13. The SuperSonics have won two straight at the Lakers.
