Denver Nuggets (12-12) at Atlanta Hawks (5-17), 2 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Hawks try to make it two straight wins this afternoon when they wrap up a brief two-game homestand against the Denver Nuggets at Philips Arena.
On Friday, Joe Johnson tied a career-high with 36 points to lead Atlanta over the New York Knicks, 122-111. Al Harrington added a season-high tying 35 points for the Hawks, who have won three of their last four contests after starting the season with just two wins in 18 outings.
Johnson connected on all but one of his seven three-point attempts and had five assists and four rebounds, while Harrington finished 6-for-6 from beyond the arc in the win. The two combined to hit 27-of-37 field-goal attempts as the Hawks shot an NBA season-high 63.2 percent from the field.
Josh Childress and Marvin Williams came off the bench to combine for 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Zaza Pachulia grabbed 11 rebounds and had nine points.
Atlanta, which will head to Miami on Tuesday, is 3-6 in its arena this season.
The Nuggets, meanwhile, enter today's contest on the heels of a 115-106 overtime loss to the New Jersey Nets on Friday at Continental Airlines Arena. Andre Miller led the Nuggets with 22 points and 13 assists, while Carmelo Anthony scored all of his 20 points in the second half.
Earl Watson tallied a season-high 18 points, while DerMarr Johnson and Kenyon Martin each scored 16 for Denver, which has lost two straight games.
On the injury front center Marcus Camby has missed the last two games with a sprained pinky. Camby, who is averaging 16.8 points and 13.3 rebounds this season, is questionable for today's tilt.
Denver, which will conclude a six-game road trip today, is 4-9 away from home this season.
The Nuggets topped the Hawks earlier in the season and has won three straight in this series. Denver, though, has struggled mightily in Atlanta, where they have won just once in its last 15 visits.
