Detroit Pistons (51-13) at Charlotte Bobcats (18-48), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats attempt to halt a three-game losing streak tonight, as they host the always tough Detroit Pistons.
This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the clubs. The Pistons won the three previous contests in the campaign and four of the six contests in the series.
Charlotte plays the first of a brief two-game homestand. On Wednesday, All- Star Gilbert Arenas scored 34 points as the Washington Wizards defeated the Bobcats, 107-99, at the Verizon Center.
Jumaine Jones led the Bobcats with 25 points and eight rebounds in the loss to Washington. Bernard Robinson scored a career-high 21 points off the bench for Charlotte, which has dropped five of its last six games overall. Kareem Rush scored 15 points and Jake Voskuhl grabbed 10 boards.
The Bobcats are 12-20 at home this season. They are scheduled to host Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Tuesday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Detroit, meanwhile, will conclude a brief three-game road trip tonight at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
On Friday night, the Pistons had their two-game winning streak halted with a 105-103 loss to the New York Knicks. Chauncey Billups had 24 points and seven rebounds for the Pistons, who are 1-1 on the trip. They beat Toronto to open the swing.
The Pistons, seeded No. 1 in the Eastern Conference, are 2-4 in their last six road games and 23-11 as the visitor this season. Their magic number to clinch the Central is two.
Detroit head coach Flip Saunders is three wins shy of tying Larry Brown for the best record by a first-year Pistons coach. Brown compiled a 54-28 record in 2003-04.
