(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors try once again for that elusive first victory of the season this evening when they host the red-hot Philadelphia 76ers in the conclusion of a home-and-home set at the Air Canada Centre.
Toronto continued its franchise-worst start on Tuesday, as Allen Iverson scored a game-high 34 points and dished out 12 assists in the 76ers 104-92 win at the Wachovia Center.
Chris Webber posted 28 points and 16 rebounds for Philadelphia, which swept its four-game homestand and has won five straight overall since starting the season 0-3.
John Salmons netted 16 points off the bench and Kyle Korver chipped in eight points in the win, helping Philadelphia to push the lead to as high as 19.
The Sixers, who are 4-1 when they have scored 100-plus points this season, shot 46 percent from the floor.
Raptors rookie forward Charlie Villanueva set career highs with 27 points and 13 rebounds in a losing effort. Chris Bosh added 19 points and 17 boards for Toronto, which has yet to register a win in seven tries this season.
Jalen Rose had 15 points and five assists in 31 minutes.
The Raptors, who have made a three- pointer in 538 games, are winless in their five games this season. The Sixers, meanwhile, are just 1-1 away from home this year.
Philly won three of four from the Raptors last season and has won eight of the last 12 meetings. The Sixers have also won five of its last seven north of the border.
