NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Tuesday, November 15th (All times eastern)

Washington Wizards (5-1) at Cleveland Cavaliers (5-2), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers take aim at their fifth consecutive win this evening when they begin a brief two-game homestand against the Washington Wizards at Quicken Loans Arena.

On Sunday, LeBron James scored 26 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Cavaliers defeated the Orlando Magic, 108-100, in overtime at the TD WaterHouse Centre.

After James scored his 10th point of the game, he became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 4,000 points at 20 years and 318 days old.

Larry Hughes chipped in with 22 points and had seven assists for the Cavs, who have won four straight. Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 20 points and five rebounds.

Cleveland opened the overtime with a 6-0 run, going up 94-88 after Ilgauskas hit a jump shot with 3:20 to play. With 49.2 seconds to go, Hughes slammed home two points, putting the Cavs up 103-93.

The Cavaliers would end up outscoring Orlando, 20-12, in the extra session.

Cleveland, which will close its stand against Orlando on Friday, has won all three games in its arena this season.

Washington, meanwhile, has won two in a row after Gilbert Arenas scored 43 points, just one off his career-high, in the Wizards' 110-95 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday at the MCI Center.

At 5-1, the Wizards are off to their best start since the 1989-90 team also started out with wins in five of its first six games. A win tonight would give Washington its best start since beginning the 1974-75 campaign with seven straight wins.

Antawn Jamison added 19 points and Caron Butler tallied 17 off the bench in the win.

The Wizards, who will be starting a three-game road trip tonight, are 2-0 away from home this season.

Washington took two of three from Cleveland last season and has won three of four and four of the last six meetings. The Wizards have also won five of seven and six of nine as the visitor in this series.
