The Mavericks have won four of the last six meetings in this series. The Lakers have won three of their last five at Dallas.
Dallas has scored over 100 points in six of the last seven contests against the Lakers.
The Mavericks play the second of a five-game homestand. On Saturday, All-Star Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Devin Harris chipped in 19 as Dallas downed the Boston Celtics, 103-94, at American Airlines Center.
Marquis Daniels finished with 15 points in the win over the Celtics for Dallas, while Adrian Griffin registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Jason Terry, who missed the previous two games with a sore hamstring, returned to action against Boston and contributed 12 points in 22 minutes of action.
Dallas, which has won two in a row at American Airlines Center, is 7-2 as the host this season. The Mavericks will also play Phoenix, Orlando and Minnesota on the current stand.
LA, which plays the fifth contest of a six-game road trip, attempts to get back on the winning track. On Saturday, Kevin Garnett scored 30 points and pulled down eight rebounds, as the Timberwolves knocked off the Lakers, 95-82, at the Target Center.
Superstar Kobe Bryant ended with 35 points, but also committed seven turnovers in the loss to Minnesota for the Lakers, who had their four-game winning streak halted. Lamar Odom contributed 16 points and Chris Mihm totaled 15 points and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which fell behind early against the Timberwolves and never recovered.
The Lakers, who are 3-1 on the current swing, are 6-5 as the visitor this season.
