Chicago Bulls (3-2) at Golden State Warriors (4-3), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bulls go for their third straight win tonight, as they begin a six-game road trip tonight against the Golden State Warriors at The Arena in Oakland.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. Kirk Hinrich scored a game-high 23 points and Mike Sweetney hit a pair of pivotal free throws with 6.3 seconds to lift Chicago over Golden State, 85-84, at the United Center.
The home team has won the last nine meetings of this series. Chicago has lost six straight at Golden State. The last time the Bulls defeated the Warriors on the road was on January 30, 1998.
Luol Deng scored 21 points and Kirk Hinrich added 19 with 11 assists, as Chicago edged the Utah Jazz, 103-98, on Saturday at the United Center. Andres Nocioni added 15 points and Chris Duhon netted 12 for the Bulls, who shot 54 percent from the field (37-of-68) and made a blistering 53 percent of their three-point tries (10-of-19).
The Bulls will also visit Portland, Seattle, the Lakers, San Antonio and Houston. They are 0-1 on the road this season, as they lost at New Jersey, 100-99, on November 5.
Golden State begins a two-game homestand tonight. On Saturday, Shawn Marion led Phoenix with 22 points and 15 rebounds as the Suns downed the Warriors, 101-86, at America West Arena.
Baron Davis netted 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds for the Warriors, who have lost two of their last three. Derek Fisher and Mickael Pietrus each scored 16 points off the bench in the loss. Troy Murphy pulled down a game- high 17 rebounds, while tallying 10 points for Golden State.
The Warriors will host the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday in the finale of the swing. Golden State is 2-1 at home this season.
