Los Angeles Lakers (16-16) at Los Angeles Clippers (17-14), 10:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The battle for Los Angeles continues tonight, as the Clippers act as the host against the Lakers at the Staples Center.

This is the second meeting of the season between the Pacific Division rivals. On November 18th, Elton Brand scored 23 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Clippers defeated the Lakers, 97-91, at the Staples Center.

The Clippers have won three straight after losing the last five meetings in this series, while the Lakers have won 10 of the last 13 meetings. The Lakers have won four of six and 14 of their last 17 at the Clippers.

Kobe Bryant returned from a two-game suspension to pour in 48 points as the Lakers crushed Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers, 119-93, on Friday at the Staples Center. Bryant shot 19-of-29 and was a perfect 7-of-7 from beyond the arc for the Lakers, who stopped a season-high five-game losing streak. The seven-time All-Star was suspended two games by the NBA for his flagrant foul on Memphis' Mike Miller during the Lakers' 100-99 overtime loss on December 28th at the Staples Center.

Smush Parker poured in a career-high 24 points and Chris Mihm added 13 points and seven rebounds in the win over the Sixers for the Lakers, who snapped a three-game losing streak against Philadelphia.

The Lakers are 9-8 as the visitor this season.

The Clippers will attempt to get back on the winning track this evening. On Friday, Mike Bibby poured in a game-high 32 points and dished out eight assists to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Clippers, 118-114, in a shootout at ARCO Arena.

Sam Cassell ended with 28 points, while center Chris Kaman posted a career- high 25 points and grabbed 13 boards in the loss to the Kings for the Clippers, who have dropped 11 straight and 16 of their last 17 games to Sacramento. Elton Brand finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds in defeat.

The Kings have also won 15 straight home games versus the Clippers, with the Clippers' last road win coming on November 7, 1997.

The Clippers, who have dropped three of their last four games overall, are 10-4 as the host this season.
