NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, March 10th (All times eastern)

Memphis Grizzlies (34-27) at Sacramento Kings (30-31), 10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Sacramento Kings go for their third straight win when they welcome the Memphis Grizzlies tonight to ARCO Arena.

The Grizzlies have lost 15 straight at Sacramento, and are 1-20 as the visitor against the Kings.

The last time the Grizzlies beat the Kings on the road was on April 19, 1998.

Sacramento returns home for a three-game stand after going a solid 4-1 on a five-game road trip. On Wednesday, Mike Bibby scored 36 points as the Kings tied their season-high for points and downed the Milwaukee Bucks 123-116 at the Bradley Center. Kenny Thomas posted 19 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.

Bonzi Wells scored 19 points, while Kevin Martin had 16 in the win over Milwaukee for the Kings, who have won five of their last six games overall. Shareef Abdur-Rahim netted 14, while Brad Miller contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Kings, who will also host Dallas and the Lakers on the current stand, are 19-11 as the host this season. They have won 10 in a row at ARCO Arena. The last time Sacramento lost in front of its home crowd was on January 8th to the Indiana Pacers.

A victory for Kings would put them at .500 for the first time since November 29, 2005.

Memphis plays the finale of a four-game road trip. It is 2-1 on the current swing. On Wednesday, Pau Gasol dropped in 21 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 12 assists as the Grizzlies breezed past the Seattle SuperSonics, 99-74, at KeyArena.

Jake Tsakalidis added 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and pulled down 15 boards in the win over Seattle for the Grizzlies, who have won four of their last five games overall. Chucky Atkins and Bobby Jackson each finished with 15 points in the victory

The Grizzlies are 15-18 on the road this season. They are 4-6 in their last 10 contests as the visitor.

This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the clubs. The Grizzlies defeated Sacramento twice at FedExForum, while the Kings knocked off Memphis, 104-96, on February 7th at ARCO Arena.

A win for the Grizzlies would give them their first-ever regular-season series victory over the Kings.
