Golden State Warriors (30-46) at Los Angeles Lakers (41-37), 10:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Lakers will try and close in on earning a playoff berth, as they host the slumping Golden State Warriors tonight at the Staples Center.

The Lakers are tied with Sacramento for the seventh spot in Western Conference playoff race.

On Sunday, superstar Kobe Bryant poured in 38 points to lead the playoff- hopeful Lakers over the Clippers, 100-83, in the battle for Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

Lamar Odom finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds in the win over the Clippers for the Lakers, while Luke Walton ended with 13 points in the victory.

The Lakers play the second of a season-ending five-game homestand, as they will also host Portland, Phoenix and New Orleans/Oklahoma City. They are 23-14 as the host this season.

Golden State enters tonight's contest on a season-worst eight-game losing streak. On Saturday, Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting to lead the Denver Nuggets over the Warriors, 95-92, at the Pepsi Center.

Derek Fisher scored 19 points and dished out nine assists, while rookie Ike Diogu also netted 19 and Mike Dunleavy contributed 18 points and 10 boards in the win over Denver for the Warriors.

The Warriors are 12-26 on the road this season. They have lost four in a row as the visitor.

This is the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. The Lakers have won all three contests and eight of the last nine meetings in this series.

Golden State has lost five straight and 12 of 13 at the Lakers.
