Atlanta Hawks (12-31) at Charlotte Bobcats (11-35), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The teams with the worst records in the NBA meet tonight, as the slumping Charlotte Bobcats host the Atlanta Hawks.
Charlotte has lost a franchise-worst 12 straight games and plays the second of a season-long six-game homestand. On Monday, LeBron James scored 30 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers over the Bobcats, 103-91, at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Alan Anderson had 14 points off the bench in the loss to the Cavaliers for Charlotte, while Melvin Ely and Kareem Rush both ended with 12 points. Jumaine Jones netted 11 in defeat.
The Bobcats, who will also host the Lakers, Seattle, Philadelphia and Toronto on the current homestand, are 7-14 at home this season. Charlotte has dropped five in a row as the host.
Atlanta will try and win its second straight game. Al Harrington had 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Hawks cruised to a 120-101 win over the New York Knicks on Monday at Philips Arena.
Joe Johnson scored 24 points and Josh Childress netted 15 in the win over New York for the Hawks, who halted a three-game losing streak. Marvin Williams and Salim Stoudamire both scored 13 in the victory.
The Hawks are a brutal 3-17 on the road this season. The have lost three straight as the visitor.
This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On December 27th, Brevin Knight finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists, as the Bobcats defeated the Hawks, 93-90, at Philips Arena.
Charlotte has won three straight over the Hawks, and is 4-1 in this series.
