NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, April 5th (All times eastern)

Toronto Raptors (26-48) at Indiana Pacers (35-38), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Two teams trying to end losing streaks square off tonight, as the Indiana Pacers host the Toronto Raptors at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Pacers are playing horrible basketball at the worst time, losing five straight, six of seven and eight of their last 10 games overall.

Indiana is 1 1/2 games behind the fifth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks for the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference and one game ahead of No. 8 Philadelphia.

On Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls, the Pacers dropped a 102-96 decision at the United Center. Stephen Jackson had 22 points and rookie Danny Granger chipped in 14 off the bench for seventh-seeded Indiana.

After hosting the Raptors, Indiana will visit New York and Detroit. The Pacers are 2-3 in their last five home games and 22-14 at Conseco Fieldhouse this season.

Toronto, meanwhile, has lost five in a row, including Tuesday's 124-120 setback to the Boston Celtics.

Morris Peterson scored a game-high 32 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists for the Raptors. Mike James scored 25 points and Matt Bonner added 16 for the Raptors, who will open a two-game road trip. Toronto will visit the Hornets on Friday.

The Raptors have lost two in a row on the road and are 12-24 away from the Air Canada Centre this season.

Toronto has won both meetings so far this season with Indiana and three of the last four matchups. The Raptors also have won two in a row after losing their last six games at Conseco Fieldhouse.
