NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, March 11th (All times eastern)

Golden State Warriors (19-42) at Indiana Pacers (30-30), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Fighting for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers try to build some momentum tonight when they welcome the Golden State Warriors to Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Pacers have won two of their last three games on the heels of a three-game slide. On Tuesday, Stephen Jackson netted a season-high 30 points and Reggie Miller added 24 as Indiana topped Utah, 89-83, at the Delta Center.

Anthony Johnson finished with 13 points and nine assists for the Pacers, who blew a 25-point first-quarter lead before rallying in the fourth.

Jeff Foster and Dale Davis each pulled down 10 rebounds for Indiana.

Indiana currently leads Philadelphia by 1 1/2 games for eighth place in the East, and is one game behind seventh-place Orlando.

The Pacers will visit Cleveland on Sunday before opening a three-game homestand against Utah next Wednesday.

Golden State, meanwhile, is 3-3 in the first six portions of an eight-game road trip. On Wednesday, the Warriors dropped a 92-88 contest at Detroit. Tayshaun Prince and Antonio McDyess scored 20 points apiece to lead the Pistons.

Baron Davis scored 21 points off the bench to lead the Warriors, who have lost 10 straight and 20 of their last 23 games at Detroit. Mike Dunleavy added 15 points in the loss and Troy Murphy scored 14.

Jason Richardson registered 10 points on just 4-of-17 shooting for Golden State.

The Warriors will close out their road trip Saturday night in Atlanta.

Golden State defeated Indiana, 104-96, on December 4 in Oakland to snap a two- game series losing streak.
