Los Angeles Clippers (32-40) at Detroit Pistons (44-27), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons, who are expected to welcome head coach Larry Brown back to the bench, seek their second straight win tonight when they welcome the Los Angeles Clippers to the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons have won two of their last three contests on the heels of a three- game slide. Overall they are 7-4 in their last 11 games.
On Wednesday, Richard Hamilton finished with 24 points and eight assists and Ben Wallace added 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Pistons to a 99-82 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the Palace.
Rasheed Wallace recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds and Antonio McDyess netted 13 points for the Pistons, who rebounded from Monday's loss to Dallas.
Detroit remains the leader in the Central Division, sitting four games ahead of second-place Chicago. The Pistons, who have a magic number of two to clinch a playoff spot, trail Miami by nine games in the overall Eastern Conference race.
The Pistons improved to 6-4 since Brown left the team to undergo surgery related to the hip procedure he had in the fall. Gar Heard has been at the helm in Brown's absence.
Detroit will visit Toronto on Sunday.
The Clippers, meanwhile, have lost the first three portions of a seven-game road trip. On Wednesday they dropped a 95-78 contest at New Jersey.
Corey Maggette paced the Clippers with 17 points and Rick Brunson came off the bench to net 13 points for the Los Angeles, which is 3-5 in its last eight games overall.
Los Angeles is currently 11th in the Western Conference -- eight games behind eighth-place Memphis in the standings.
The Clippers will resume their road trip on Sunday in Atlanta.
Detroit defeated Los Angeles, 99-96, in double-overtime on November 8 at the Staples Center. Chauncey Billups scored nine of his 20 points in the second overtime to lead the Pistons.
Detroit has won four consecutive meetings with the Clippers, and LA has dropped three straight in Motown.
