Orlando Magic (26-23) at Philadelphia 76ers (24-26), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - Two teams in the lower half of the Eastern Conference playoff race clash tonight when the Philadelphia 76ers invite the Orlando Magic to the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia is eighth in the conference standings, but still within 1 1/2 games of the Atlantic Division lead (Boston). Orlando sits sixth in the East, 2 1/2 games ahead of the Sixers.
Philly is coming off Friday night's 106-91 victory in Toronto. Allen Iverson scored 30 points with eight assists to lead the effort at Air Canada Centre. Kenny Thomas contributed to the win with 23 points and eight rebounds.
Andre Iguodala added 16 with eight boards for the Sixers, who gave head coach Jim O'Brien a victory on his 53rd birthday. The Sixers ended a two-game losing skid and have won three of their last five contests overall.
The Sixers shot 50 percent from the field (41-of-82) against Toronto, including 9-of-21 from three-point range, and outrebounded the Raptors, 47-33.
Philadelphia, which has won six of its last eight games on the Wachovia Center court, kicks off a three-game homestand tonight. The Sixers will host the New York Knicks on Monday.
Orlando, meanwhile, hopes to put some momentum together after Thursday's 101-96 victory over Atlanta, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Steve Francis scored a team-high 28 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 24 off the bench to lead the effort.
Francis shot just 8-of-23 from the floor, but added nine assists with seven rebounds, while Grant Hill contributed 16 points for Orlando. No. 1 pick Dwight Howard had an outstanding game for the Magic, netting 15 points with a game-high 20 rebounds.
The Magic now have their sights on ending their road woes, as they have dropped three straight on hostile courts. Orlando has lost five of its last six away from home overall.
The Magic will host New Orleans on Sunday.
Philadelphia won the first meeting with Orlando this season, but the Magic have taken the last two. The Magic have won four of the last five clashes overall.
