(Sports Network) - The top two teams in the Pacific Division meet tonight, as the Sacramento Kings welcome the Phoenix Suns to ARCO Arena.
The Suns hold a five-game lead over Sacramento for the lead in the Pacific.
This is the second meeting of the season between the clubs this season. On November 13th, Sacramento edged the Suns, 113-111, at America West Arena. The teams will play twice more this season, as the Suns will host Sacramento on April 16th, while the Kings will welcome Phoenix to ARCO Arena on April 20th.
The home team has won eight of 10 and 11 of the last 14 meetings in this series. The Kings have won four of their last five contests with the Suns, who have lost eight straight at Sacramento.
The last time the Suns picked up a victory on the road against Sacramento was on April 9, 2000.
Phoenix comes into tonight's game on a two-game winning streak. Amare Stoudemire had 32 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Suns to a 114-106 victory over the New York Knicks on Saturday at America West Arena. Steve Nash added 26 points and 14 assists for Phoenix, which has won seven of its last eight games overall.
Stoudemire has scored more than 22 points in nine straight games, while Nash has registered double-digits in assists in five straight contests.
The Suns are an impressive 20-7 as the visitor this season. Phoenix has won five of its last six on the road.
Sacramento attempts to get back on the winning track tonight. On Saturday, Damon Stoudamire scored 30 points to go along with eight assists to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 114-108 victory over the Kings at the Rose Garden.
Chris Webber recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in Saturday's loss for Sacramento, which is 11-4 in its last 15 games. Kings center Brad Miller finished with 18 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Portland.
Webber, who played for the first time Saturday since January 28th, is averaging 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in his last two contests.
The Kings are 19-16 as the host this season. Sacramento has won eight of its last 10 at ARCO Arena.
