Orlando Magic (13-7) at Phoenix Suns (17-3), 9 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic play the fifth contest of their season- high six-game road trip tonight, as they visit the streaking Phoenix Suns at America West Arena.
On Sunday, The Magic fell to the Los Angeles Lakers, 105-98, at the Staples Center. Steve Francis recorded 27 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds for Orlando, which lost for just the second time in seven games. Grant Hill added 16 points and rookie first-overall pick Dwight Howard had 11 points and eight boards for the Magic, who have dropped eight straight in LA to the Lakers.
Francis has scored in double-digits in 17 straight games. He has recorded four double-doubles this season and leads the Magic in scoring (21.8 ppg) and assists (6.9 apg).
Orlando is 6-5 on the road this season.
The Suns enter tonight's contest having won four in a row and 13 of their last 14 games overall. On Friday, Amare Stoudemire continued his unbelievable season as he poured in 36 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out eight assists to lead Phoenix to a 115-106 win over the Charlotte Bobcats at America West Arena.
Quentin Richardson and Shawn Marion both scored 20 points in Friday's win for the Suns. Marion also hauled in eight boards, while point guard Steve Nash had nine points and a game-high 14 assists for Phoenix, which matched the best start in team history. The 1980-81 Suns also began 17-3.
Stoudemire has recorded three straight double-doubles and is averaging 30.7 points and 12 rebounds in that span.
Phoenix is 8-2 as the host this season.
In 2003-04, the teams split a pair of contests. Overall, Orlando has won four of the last seven contests. The Magic have lost two straight and five of their last seven at Phoenix.
