Atlanta Hawks (0-4) at New Orleans Hornets (0-4), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - Two winless teams meet tonight, as the New Orleans Hornets welcome the Atlanta Hawks to New Orleans Arena.
On Tuesday, the Hornets were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers, 106-98, on their homecourt. Baron Davis paced the Hornets with 23 points, but was just 5- of-20 from the floor. Jamaal Magloire contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds for New Orleans, which remained winless on the season (0-4) under new head coach Byron Scott.
The Hornets are off to their worst start since beginning the 1989-90 campaign at 0-5. It also marks the first time in franchise history that the Hornets have started a campaign with three straight home losses.
After four games, Davis leads the Hornets in scoring (26.3 ppg) and assists (8.3 apg). Magloire is New Orleans' top rebounder at 8.8 boards per game.
Atlanta's early season woes continued Tuesday night, as it fell 93-79 to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Philips Arena. Antoine Walker scored 22 points with nine rebounds to lead the Hawks (0-4), who were opening their home slate.
Walker finished with a game-high six assists in Tuesday's loss, while Predrag Drobnjak added 19 points off the bench and Al Harrington netted 14. The Hawks were just 1-of-11 from three-point territory in the contest.
The 28-year-old Walker leads the Hawks in scoring (21.8 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and assists (3.8 apg).
Last season, the Hawks and Hornets split four games. Overall, the home team has won the last eight games in this series. Atlanta has lost four straight at the Hornets.
Both clubs have failed to score 100 points this season.
