NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Saturday, November 6th (All times eastern)

Utah Jazz (2-0) at Denver Nuggets (1-1), 9 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets play the first of a home- and-home set tonight, as the squad meet at the Pepsi Center.

The Jazz and Nuggets will play once again on Monday at the Delta Center. The Northwest Division rivals will also play on February 8, 2005 at Denver and on March 30th, 2005 at Utah.

Utah tries to start a campaign with three straight wins for the first time since 2000-01, when it opened the season with five wins in a row.

On Friday, Keith McLeod posted his first career double-double with 17 points and 10 assists, leading the Jazz to an easy 102-80 victory over Golden State at The Arena.

McLeod was 7-of-8 from the field in 28 minutes for the Jazz, who opened their season with a convincing 26-point win over the Lakers on Wednesday. Carlos Boozer added 16 points and nine rebounds and Andrei Kirilenko scored 14 in the win. Bell and Matt Harpring each chipped in 11 points.

On Thursday, Earl Boykins drained a jump shot with six seconds to play in overtime to lift the Nuggets to a 94-92 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Pepsi Center. Carmelo Anthony posted 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Nuggets, who bounced back from their season-opening loss to the Lakers on Tuesday.

Boykins ended with 14 points and six assists in Thursday's victory, while Andre Miller finished with 19 points. All-Star Kenyon Martin contributed 18 points and 13 rebounds for Denver.

In 2003-04, Denver won three of the four meetings between the two squads. Utah has won five of eight and 10 of the last 14 contests in this series. The Jazz have lost two straight at Denver.
