Memphis Grizzlies (25-21) at Los Angeles Lakers (30-18), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Memphis Grizzlies will finish a two-day tour of Staples Center Sunday by squaring off with the Pacific Division-leading Los Angeles Lakers.
The Grizzlies have stumbled badly out West, losing in Sacramento and Portland before arriving in LA and suffering a 101-85 setback to the Clippers on Saturday.
Zach Randolph led the way for the Grizzlies in that one with 14 points and O.J. Mayo posted 13 for Memphis, which fell to 9-13 on the road and has dropped five of six overall.
The Clippers also claimed the tiebreaker between the two contending clubs, going up 2-0 in the season series with one game to play.
Currently the Grizzlies are the sixth seed in the Western Conference but are just percentage points ahead of both Utah and Denver and just one-half game clear of No. 9 Houston as it concludes a four-game road trip tonight.
Things have been going much better for the Lakers, who have opened up a three- game lead over the Clips in the Pacific Division and are currently the three- seed in the West after a 103-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at Staples Center on Friday.
Ramon Sessions, the Lakers new point guard that was acquired from Cleveland at the trade deadline, had 20 points and 11 assists to lead the team in that one.
"I'm just being aggressive and playing my game," said Sessions, who has scored in double-digits in three of four games since the Lakers acquired him. "When we move the ball like we did tonight, we are tough to guard."
Andrew Bynum scored a team-high 28 points and pulled down nine rebounds, Kobe Bryant finished with 18 points and Pau Gasol recorded a double-double with 10 points and 16 boards for the Lakers, who have won seven of their last nine overall.
The Lakers have won three straight and 10 of 13 overall versus Memphis.
