Washington Wizards (17-52) at Los Angeles Clippers (27-44), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers aim to secure their fifth straight win over the lowly Washington Wizards Wednesday when the two teams tangle at Staples Center.
The Clippers, who will be shooting to sweep the home-and-home season series with Washington for a second consecutive season tonight, will be trying to bounce back from a loss to Pacific Division rival Phoenix on Sunday. Steve Nash finished with a game-high 23 points to go along with 13 assists in that one as the Suns topped LA, 108-99, at Staples Center.
Chris Kaman posted 21 points and 11 rebounds in a starting role, just his ninth of the season. The Clippers reserve center got the start because DeAndre Jordan missed the game with a mild case of pneumonia.
Mo Williams added 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Blake Griffin scored 17 before fouling out late in the game. LA has now lost three of four overall.
"He's a heck of a player. He has so many different things he can do on the court," Kaman said of Nash.
The Wizards, meanwhile, fell to an NBA-worst 1-32 on the road this season on Tuesday after being blitzed at Portland, 111-76, in the opener of a five-game trek.
Jordan Crawford and Kevin Seraphin were the only two Wizards who scored in double-digits with Crawford getting 12 and Seraphin posting 10 on 5-of-9 shooting off the bench. John Wall added nine points and seven assists in the loss.
The Wizards, who will also face Denver, Golden State and Utah on their trip, fell for the seventh time in eight games and have not won in Portland since March 28, 2005.
"Their quickness against you ends up being a problem. What they were is quicker," said Wizards head coach Flip Saunders.
