Phoenix Suns (19-11) at Golden State Warriors (7-21), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors hope to put the brakes on a seven-game losing streak when they play host to the Phoenix Suns tonight at ORACLE Arena.
Golden State suffered its seventh straight loss with Wednesday's 108-102 decision at New Orleans, as Monta Ellis finished with a game-high 35 points to go with five assists and four steals for the Warriors, who haven't won since December 9th versus the Nets.
Corey Maggette posted 22 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out, while rookie Stephen Curry recorded his first career double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Anthony Randolph had 12 points, eight rebounds and a career-high eight blocks for the Warriors, who will also host Boston and are 4-7 in Oakland this season.
"We played a great game. We didn't do everything right all the time, we didn't make every shot, get every stop, but we played great. I can't ask for anything more out of this team. They gave everything they had on a back-to-back. I'm really proud of them," Warriors head coach Don Nelson said.
Phoenix ended a two-game losing streak the last time out with a 124-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Christmas Day in the desert.
Amare Stoudemire led a balanced Phoenix attack with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Jason Richardson tallied 18 points and eight rebounds for the Suns, who had won 19 consecutive home games dating back to last season before falling to Cleveland on Monday and then lost at home to Oklahoma City two nights later.
Jared Dudley also scored 18 points in the recent win for the Suns, who will put their 8-9 road mark to the test Saturday night.
Phoenix defeated Golden State, 123-101, on October 30 this season and has won four straight in the series.
