NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Saturday, December 26th (All times eastern)

San Antonio Spurs (15-11) at Milwaukee Bucks (12-15), 8:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs hope to improve their mediocre road record tonight, when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

The Spurs are only 3-6 away from the Alamo City this season and will also visit New York on the brief excursion from San Antonio. They had their three- game winning streak stopped with Wednesday's 98-94 setback to the Portland Trail Blazers, as Tim Duncan checked in with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

"This is the NBA. One guy goes down and another guy gets an opportunity," Roger Mason said. "Tonight, it was Bayless. He had been playing very well and he got an opportunity. Other guys made shots and they are all NBA players. You know you are going to get their best shot."

Richard Jefferson ended with 18 points, while Tony Parker and Mason each had 16 points in defeat.

Milwaukee has lost four of its last five games, including a 109-97 loss versus the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

Michael Redd hit all 15 of his foul shots and finished with 32 points for the Bucks, who fell to 9-6 as the host. Charlie Bell scored 14 points and Luc Mbah a Moute added 11, while Andrew Bogut ended with 12 points and nine rebounds.

"In the first quarter they set the tone," Bell said. "We looked like a team that played last night. They really came here with a lot of energy and attacked our guards. It was hard to recover and when we did it was hard to sustain it."

San Antonio defeated Milwaukee, 112-98, on November 23 this season and has won three of the last five matchups in the series. The Spurs, however, have dropped seven of 10 at the Bradley Center.
