(Sports Network) - The playoff-bound Atlanta Hawks will try to stop a three- game losing streak tonight against the Toronto Raptors in the opener of a short two-game road trip at Air Canada Centre.
Atlanta is currently fourth in the East standings, just two games in front of Miami and 2 1/2 games ahead of Philadelphia, and suffered an 88-82 loss versus the Orlando Magic on Saturday at Philips Arena. Josh Smith had 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Al Horford donated 13 and 13 boards for the Hawks, who lost for the fifth time in six tries overall.
Joe Johnson recorded 21 points and nine boards in defeat. The Hawks will try to stop a five-game slide as the guest Tuesday and own a 14-24 mark as the visitor this season.
The 2008-09 season is winding down for the Raptors, who will try to get back in the win column this evening after having their six-game winning streak stopped with Sunday's 112-103 setback versus New York.
Chris Bosh recorded his 39th double-double of the year with 31 points and 14 boards for the Raptors, who were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss. Andrea Bargnani added 18 points and Anthony Parker netted 15 in a losing effort. The Raptors will wrap up a quick two-game homestand tonight and are 17-21 in Canada this season.
Atlanta is 2-1 against Toronto this season and has won three of the last four meetings. The Raptors have won three in row as the host in this series.
