NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, January 26th (All times eastern)

Atlanta Hawks (26-17) at Miami Heat (23-19), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat will resume a four-game homestand Monday versus the Southeast Division-rival Atlanta Hawks at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Miami has alternated wins and losses over its last five games and is 1-1 on the residency after a 103-97 victory over the division-foe Orlando Magic on Saturday night. Rookie Mario Chalmers finished with 20 points to help the Heat halt their 10-game losing streak against Orlando. Dwyane Wade finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the win.

Udonis Haslem added 12 points, while reserves Michael Beasley and Chris Quinn chipped in 10 points apiece for Miami, which is 13-7 in South Beach this season and will also host the Washington Wizards, another member of the Southeast Division.

Heat forward Shawn Marion (groin) is questionable for Monday's game. He has missed two of the last three games.

Atlanta will try to get back on the winning track tonight when it open a short two-game road trip against Miami and New York. The Hawks, who are 9-12 as the guest in 2008-09, had their three-game winning streak come to an end with Sunday's 104-99 setback versus the Phoenix Suns at Philips Arena.

Josh Smith had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Atlanta, which got 17 points from Marvin Williams. Joe Johnson added 15 points and 13 assists in defeat.

The Hawks defeated Miami, 87-73, on December 12 this season in South Beach, but the Heat are 15-5 over the previous 20 meetings. Miami has won 21 of the last 24 matchups as the host in this series.
