(Sports Network) - The Southeast Division champion Orlando Magic continue their push for the second seed in the Eastern Conference in South Beach on Monday when they face the in-state rival Miami Heat.
The Magic earned their fifth straight win on Friday when Rashard Lewis poured in 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, as Orlando handled the Milwaukee Bucks, 110-94, at Amway Arena.
Hedo Turkoglu and Dwight Howard added 18 points each for Orlando, which has won seven in a row at home. Turkoglu pulled down nine boards, while Howard had eight. Courtney Lee ended with 16 points for the victors.
The Magic, who sport a stellar 25-11 record on the road, are currently just a half game behind Boston for the second seed in the East. Orlando is ahead by percentage points in the standings.
The Heat, meanwhile, sit in the fifth slot in the East, 1 1/2 games in front of Philadelphia.
Miami also beat Milwaukee in its last outing on Saturday when Dwyane Wade donated 27 points, seven assists and three steals to lead the Heat in a 102-85 rout of the Bucks at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Udonis Haslem earned his 100th career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat, who still only have three wins in their last eight attempts. James Jones and Michael Beasley added 11 points apiece for Miami, which is now 26-11 in South Beach.
On Monday Miami will celebrate the jersey retirement of former center Alonzo Mourning, who will become the first Heat player to have his jersey retired. Mourning won a championship with the Heat in 2006 and is Miami's all-time leader in games played (593), points scored (9,459), minutes played (17,700), free throws attempted (3,896), offensive rebounds (1,505), defensive rebounds (3,302), total rebounds (4,807), blocked shots (1,625) and double-figure scoring efforts (442).
Orlando has won 11 of the past 12 meetings between the two clubs, but the Heat did snap a 10-game skid to the Magic with a 103-97 win in Miami on January 24.
