Friday, January 9th (All times eastern)

Miami Heat (18-16) at Sacramento Kings (8-28), 10:00 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat resume a season-long, seven-game road trip Friday when they arrive in California's capital to take on the hapless Sacramento Kings.

The Heat lost the opener of their trek on Wednesday in Denver when Linas Kleiza stepped up in Carmelo Anthony's absence and was one of three Nuggets to record 21 points, as Denver got by Miami, 108-97, at the Pepsi Center.

Dwyane Wade netted a game-high 31 points and Shawn Marion posted 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat, who lost for the fourth time in six games and fell to 6-10 on the road this season.

Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers both chipped in 12 points with Chalmers adding seven assists.

Miami will also visit the LA Lakers, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Houston and Oklahoma City on its trip.

The Kings, meanwhile, finished a four-game road trip winless on Tuesday when Chicago's Ben Gordon scored a team-high 24 points and Drew Gooden added 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, as the Bulls downed Sacramento, 99-94 at the United Center.

Kevin Martin led all scorers with 29 points, Brad Miller registered a double- double with 18 points and 12 rebounds and John Salmons donated 12 points for the Kings, who lost their 12th road game in a row and for the 10th time in 11 games overall.

Martin has averaged 30 points in his five games since returning form a balky ankle.

Sacramento, which is 6-11 at ARCO Arena this year, will remain at home for games against Dallas and Orlando after tonight's contest.

The Heat have won nine of their last 10 games with the Kings, including a 103-77 rout in South Beach on Halloween.
