New Jersey Nets (15-16) at Detroit Pistons (18-11), 3:00 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons will shoot for their fifth straight win this afternoon when they resume a three-game homestand versus the New Jersey Nets at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Detroit has won four in a row overall and opened the residency with an 88-82 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday, as Rodney Stuckey had 19 points, five rebounds and four assists to help snap Orlando's seven-game win streak.
Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace chipped in 16 points apiece, while Allen Iverson added 15 points and six rebounds for the Pistons, who played without Richard Hamilton for the second straight game due to a groin injury. Hamilton is doubtful Wednesday and forward Antonio McDyess (ribs) is probable.
The Pistons will also host Sacramento and are 10-5 at home this season. Iverson is averaging 18.0 in 25 games with the Pistons since they acquired him from the Denver Nuggets in early November.
New Jersey has lost two of three and four of its last six games, including Monday's 100-87 setback to the Chicago Bulls at the IZOD Center.
Vince Carter and Devin Harris scored 31 and 26 points, respectively, for the Nets, who will put a three-game road winning streak on the line Wednesday. New Jersey is also 10-4 away from the Meadowlands this season.
The Nets posted a 103-96 victory over Detroit on November 7 this season at the IZOD Center to end a seven-game slide in the series. The Pistons have won 12 of the last 16 matchups with New Jersey, which has lost four straight and six of its last seven at The Palace.
