Atlanta Hawks (33-26) at Washington Wizards (14-45), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Hawks kick off a three-game road trip tonight hoping to sweep the season series from the lowly Washington Wizards for the first time in 11 years.
Atlanta, which has won five straight overall over Washington and three consecutive at the Verizon Center, last swept the Wizards during the 1997-98 season.
The Hawks are coming off a tough loss at home on Sunday after LeBron James went nearly 15 minutes without a field goal to close out the game, but manufactured the winning play anyway as Cleveland pulled out an 88-87 victory over the Hawks with 1.6 seconds to play at Philips Arena.
James finished with game-bests of 26 points and 11 assists despite the drought and drew a foul with 1.6 ticks remaining that allowed his 1-of-2 showing at the line to hold up after Atlanta's Joe Johnson couldn't get a last-ditch jumper to fall.
Johnson scored 21 points to pace the reeling Hawks, who have dropped four of the last five. Marvin Williams had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Atlanta's bench provided a nice spark with 14 from Flip Murray and 11 from Zaza Pachulia to pair with eight boards.
The Hawks, who are 13-19 on the road, will finish their trek with visits to New York and Charlotte.
The Wizards, meanwhile, dropped their latest affair in Milwaukee on Saturday when Charlie Villanueva scored 25 points to pace the Bucks in a 109-93 win over Washington.
Antawn Jamison had 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Wizards, who have dropped three of their last four contests overall. Caron Butler had 19 points, while Nick Young ended with 13 points in defeat.
Washington is just 10-21 as the host this season.
