(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to stay unbeaten at home Sunday when they close out a three-game residency versus the Miami Heat in the opener of a home-and-home series at Quicken Loans Arena.
Cleveland, which will visit the Heat in South Beach on Tuesday, improved to 15-0 as the host this season and 2-0 on the current homestand with Thursday's hard-fought 93-89 victory over the Washington Wizards. Mo Williams scored 24 points and LeBron James added 18 for the Cavs, who have won five straight overall and 24 of 26 since opening the season 1-2.
Delonte West had 18 points and dished out seven assists, while Anderson Varejao totaled 13 points and a season-best 13 rebounds in the win. The Cavs scored 11 straight points in the final two minutes to remain the only unbeaten team at home in the NBA.
Cavs center Zydrunas Ilgauskas (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game.
The Heat will try to stay on the right path tonight, as they shoot for their fifth straight victory in a tough Cleveland environment.
Miami recorded its fourth consecutive triumph with a 90-77 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday at AmericanAirlines Arena. Dwyane Wade scored 28 points and rookie Mario Chalmers added 16 points and six assists for the Heat, who surpassed last season's win total with their 16th triumph.
Udonis Haslem tied a season-high with 14 rebounds and Shawn Marion hauled in 10 boards in a winning cause. The Heat are 6-7 as the visitor this season.
Cleveland went 3-0 against the Heat a year ago. Miami has lost two straight and five of its last six as the guest in this series.
