(Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic attempt to sweep a short two-game road trip on Thanksgiving when they arrive in the nation's capital to take on the Washington Wizards.
The Magic won a thriller in Philadelphia on Wednesday when Rashard Lewis' three-pointer with 4.7 seconds to go gave Orlando a 96-94 win over the 76ers at the Wachovia Center.
Lewis finished with 19 points, while Dwight Howard had 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic, winners in two straight and seven of their last eight.
Tony Battie scored 20 points off the bench, going 9-for-9 from the floor for Orlando, which is an impressive 5-1 on the road this season.
The Wizards snapped a five-game skid and won for just the second time this season in the opener of a three-game homestand on Tuesday.
Caron Butler poured in 35 points with eight rebounds and six assists as Washington earned a 124-100 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Ed Tapscott's debut as interim head coach.
Tapscott replaced Eddie Jordan, who was in his sixth season with Wizards and has posted a record of 197-224. Jordan had guided the club to the playoffs each of the past four seasons --the longest consecutive stretch for the franchise since a five-year run from 1983-84 through 1987-88.
Antawn Jamison and Andray Blatche each dropped 25 points with Jamison grabbing 11 boards and Blatche 12 to go along with five assists and five blocks on Tuesday.
Washington's only other win this season came on November 12 against the Utah Jazz.
On the injury front, Magic point guard Jameer Nelson is out with a strained right hip flexor. while Wizards guard Antonio Daniels is questionable for tonight's game with a sore right knee.
Orlando has won five of its last six games over the Wizards, including three straight at the Verizon Center.
