Orlando Magic (5-3) at Dallas Mavericks (2-6), 8:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic play the second leg of a three-game road trip Friday when they travel to Dallas to face off with the struggling Mavericks.
Dwight Howard posted his first career triple-double, scoring 30 points, grabbing 19 rebounds and blocking a career-high 10 shots to lead the Magic to a 109-92 thumping of the Kevin Durant-less Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
Durant, who has averaged 22 points in seven games this season, sat out with a sore left ankle.
Howard shot 12-of-21 from the field to lead the Magic, who have won five of six and posted their first road win of the season. Jameer Nelson and Mickael Pietrus each added 17 points.
The Mavs fell to a miserable 2-6 Wednesday when Chicago's Ben Gordon scored 35 points and top-overall draft pick Derrick Rose posted 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and zero turnovers, as the Bulls outlasted Dallas, 98-91, at the United Center.
Josh Howard, who returned after missing a pair of games with a sprained wrist, and Dirk Nowitzki struggled with Tyrus Thomas' length and Luol Deng's defense, making 12-of-40 shots combined in defeat.
Howard needed 23 shots to score 21 points with 11 rebounds, while Nowitzki made 5-of-17 shots for 12 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.
Erick Dampier notched a double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds, and Jason Terry scored 16 points.
Dallas grabbed 16 offensive rebounds, mostly due to the fact that it shot just 36.8 percent from the floor and made only 4-of-15 from beyond the arc.
The Mavericks lost their fourth straight contest after leading by 10 points after one quarter.
"We just have to do a lot of soul searching from here," said Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle.
The Mavs have won four straight over Orlando and six of the last seven meetings.
