NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, November 14th (All times eastern)

Washington Wizards (1-5) at Miami Heat (4-4), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - After finally reaching the win column, the Washington Wizards will take aim at their first road win of the season tonight against the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Washington opened the 2008-09 campaign with five straight losses, including three as the visitor, and ended the skid with Wednesday's 95-87 victory over the Utah Jazz at the Verizon Center.

Caron Butler had a game-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Wizards, who were the only remaining winless team in the NBA. Antawn Jamison tallied 21 points and had eight rebounds in a winning effort.

Washington, which won six straight after last season's 0-5 start, may be without guard Antonio Daniels on Friday. Daniels is doubtful with a sore right knee.

The Heat will wrap up a three-game homestand this evening and have dropped two of three games overall. In Wednesday's 104-96 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Dwyane Wade scored a season-high 36 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed six rebounds for Miami, which had won its first three home games of the year.

Wade has reached the 30-point mark in scoring over the last four games. Rookie phenom Michael Beasley scored 14 points in the loss to the Blazers.

On the injury front for Miami forward Shawn Marion (groin) is questionable against Washington.

Washington won all four meetings with Miami a year ago, but the Heat are 15-5 in the past 20 matchups in this series.

The Wizards have lost 10 of 13 trips to South Beach.
