Rookie forward Kevin Love had 20 points and eight rebounds in his first start for the Timberwolves, who will also visit Golden State. Mike Miller scored 16 points and grabbed six boards while Sebastian Telfair had 15 points and seven assists and Al Jefferson added 14 points and nine rebounds for Minnesota.
Portland ended a two-game losing streak with Thursday's 101-99 overtime victory at home versus the Houston Rockets. Brandon Roy buried a shot at the buzzer in OT to lift Portland and finished with 17 points.
LaMarcus Aldridge led the Blazers with 27 points and nine rebounds. Rudy Fernandez added 15 points and Travis Outlaw netted 14 off the bench for Portland.
Portland went 4-0 against the Northwest Division-rival Timberwolves a year ago and has won five of six and eight of the last 10 matchups.
