Philadelphia 76ers (34-47) at Toronto Raptors (47-34), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors are tuning up for the playoffs, and
will close out the regular season tonight versus the Philadelphia 76ers at the
Air Canada Centre.
The Atlantic Division-champion Raptors are the third seed in the Eastern
Conference standings and had a six-game winning streak stopped with Tuesday's
100-84 loss to the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Uros Slokar led the Raptors with 18 points and Morris Peterson added 14 points
and 13 rebounds for Toronto, which finished the regular season with a 17-24
road mark. Radoslav Nesterovic added 11 points, while Juan Dixon finished with
10 in the losing cause.
Toronto has won seven straight at home and is 30-10 as the host this season.
Meanwhile, the Sixers have lost two of their last three games and suffered a
98-92 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday at the Wachovia Center.
Willie Green scored 24 points and Joe Smith had 17 points and 13 rebounds off
the bench for the Sixers, who finished with a home record of 21-20. The 76ers
will miss the playoffs for a second straight year and for the third time in
Philadelphia has won three in a row on the road and owns a 13-27 mark away
from home this season.
Wednesday's game between Atlantic Division rivals is the fourth and final
meeting of the season. Toronto leads the series, 3-0, and has won four
