Philadelphia 76ers (5-8) at Miami Heat (5-8), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers play the middle contest of a three-
game road trip, as they visit the defending world champion Miami Heat tonight
at AmericanAirlines Arena.
This is the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 5th,
Allen Iverson poured in 31 points to go along with 13 assists to lead the
Sixers over Miami, 107-98, at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has dropped five straight after winning its last five at Miami.
The Sixers lost the opener of the swing. On Saturday, LeBron James scored 25
points and dished out 11 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated
Philadelphia, 108-95, at Quicken Loans Arena.
Iverson scored 31 for Philadelphia, which has lost eight of 10 games since
opening the season with three straight wins. Andre Iguodala netted 17 and
pulled down eight rebounds, while Willie Green added 13 points off of the
bench and Shavlik Randolph scored a career-high 12 points for the 76ers.
Philadelphia is 2-6 on the road. The 76ers will visit Jason Kidd and the New
Jersey Nets on December 2nd at Continental Airlines Arena.
Miami tried to win back-to-back games as it plays the first of a brief two-
game homestand. All-Star Dwyane Wade finished 35 points and 12 assists to lead
the Heat over Charlotte, 102-93, on Saturday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Alonzo Mourning and Antoine Walker finished with 16 points apiece for the
Heat, who ended a three-game slide and won for just the second time in their
last eight games overall.
The Heat are 2-5 at home this season. They are scheduled to host Chauncey
Billups and the Detroit Pistons on Thursday in a rematch on the 2006 Eastern
