Philadelphia 76ers (7-21) at Portland Trail Blazers (13-16), 10 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers continue their season-long seven-
game road trip tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On
December 11th, Zach Randolph's driving layup with 2.4 seconds remaining lifted
the Trail Blazers over Philadelphia, 81-79, at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has won four of its last six at Portland. The Trail Blazers have
won two in a row in this series.
The Sixers play the third contest of their swing. On Wednesday, Mike Bibby
poured in 21 points and dished out six assists to lead the Sacramento Kings
past Philadelphia, 101-76, at ARCO Arena.
Andre Iguodala had 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field in the loss to
Sacramento for the Sixers, who have dropped two in a row after winning two
straight. Andre Miller netted 14 and dished out five assists, while rookie
Rodney Carney and Samuel Dalembert both had 12 points in defeat.
Philadelphia is a dismal 3-14 on the road this season. The Sixers will also
visit the Lakers, Denver, Utah and Minnesota in the current road trip.
Portland wraps up a short two-game homestand. Zach Randolph scored 26 points
and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Trail Blazers led from start to finish in a
100-85 defeat of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at the Rose Garden.
Jarrett Jack and Brandon Roy both scored 15 points, while Ime Udoka
contributed 11 points and 10 boards for the Trail Blazers, who halted a brief
two-game skid and won for the sixth time in their last eight games overall.
The Trail Blazers are 7-7 at home this season. They will visit Carlos Boozer
and the Jazz on Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena.
